The article explains practical aspects of the departmental geodetic control network segment development on the part of the M-4 "Don" highway. It describes procedure and results of the departmental geodetic control network stations association with world, national and local coordinate systems. It also shows a comparative analysis of the elevations transfer precision in the 1977 Baltic height system with GNSS-methods and geometrical levelling.
