Application of construction classification systems in information modeling of roads

The article gives a review of two construction classification systems, OmniClass and UniClass, which are used in building information modeling (BIM). The author consider the possibility of applying these classification systems to information modeling of roads and analyses possible ways of adaptation and widening them for usage in Russian Federation.
